OIC expresses concern over situation in IOK

NEW YORK (92 News) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Contact Group has on Tuesday held a meeting to show solidarity with the Kashmiri people on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Contact Group meeting was chaired by Secretary General Iyad Amin. During the meeting, the Secretary General expressed concern over the grave situation in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) and called for an immediate cessation of Indian oppression and atrocities. He said that the Indian forces can use pellet guns on innocent Kashmiris but they cannot deprive them of right to self determination. On the occasion, Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said that India didn’t respond to any attempt to resolution of Kashmir dispute.
