92 NEWS - The lockdown of Indian occupied Kashmir in Eid al Adha holidays and restriction over Muslims not to offer Eid prayer is a matter of grave concern for the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), says its Secretary General Dr Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen. In a statement, Dr Yousef regretted that Kashmiri Muslims were stopped even from offering Eid prayer which is a matter of deep concern for the OIC. "The OIC expresses its concerns over disturbing situation in the valley and check on religious freedom." He urged the world countries to take steps toward resolving the Kashmir problem in the light of the United Nations resolutions. Earlier, OIC had expressed deep concern over the recent developments in the Indian-administered Kashmir, mainly the revocation of special status to the disputed Himalayan valley by New Delhi. In a statement at an emergency meeting of the organization's Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir in Jeddah August 6, OIC Secretary General Dr reaffirmed the OIC’s full support to the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their just struggle to achieve their legitimate rights, in particular the right to self-determination.
