One dead, 13 wounded in Dera Murad Jamali IED blast

DERA MURAD JAMALI (92 News) – One person was killed and thirteen others injured in a blast at Dera Murad Jamali city of Balochistan on Sunday. According the reports, an improvised explosive device (IED) planted in a motorcycle parked outside a shop in the Mazdoor Chowk area detonated, leaving one person dead and thirteen others injured. All the victims are civilians. Police started the investigation to trace the intended target of the blast. The wounded have been transported to a hospital for medical treatment. After the explosion, the rescue teams and security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area. A total of 119 people, including 15 police personnel, were killed and 114 injured in terrorism-related incidents in Balochistan during 2018. Twenty-five terrorists were also killed in encounters and 55 arrested in 1,245 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in the province.
Two blasts leave several injured in Balochistan
Earlier, two blasts in Balochistan left several people injured, including three Levies personnel and a member of the Frontier Corps. The injured persons including a tehsildar sustained critical injuries in a bomb blast which was detonated in a motorcycle on Sunday near security forces vehicle in Balochistan. The blast targeted a Levies vehicle in which Tehsildar Abdul Maalik Tareen and his guard Salahuddin were travelling. The police say the blast occurred near the Police Line Jan Adda.
Two cops martyred, five others injured in Quetta blast
An improvised explosive device planted in a motorcycle parked outside Tareen’s office detonated as he was entering the building. Police said Tareen and two other Levies personnel were injured. Police, Levies and FC personnel arrived at the scene and sealed the area. The injured were taken to District Headquarters Hospital Pishin. Tareen and Salahuddin were shifted to the trauma centre at Civil Hospital, Quetta for treatment because their condition was reported as severe. The others are out of danger.
