SEHWAN (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi visited Sehwan Sharif on Saturday. Talking to media during the visit, Qureshi said that one faction wants to suspend people’s connection with the shrines. These shrines can never be closed. Millions of people come here for Urs. People come here to heal their wounds, not to get wounded, he said. “The patients lied here helpless. People didn’t have money to get water to drink. The patients had to be shifted to Nawab Shah, Karachi, and Hyderabad for treatment,” he said. The PTI leader demanded of the government to treat the patients with complete care. He also criticized the government, saying "Some 88 people, including children and women, were martyred and no compensation has been announced for them so far. This is above my thinking." He further said that sealing the shrines around the country is not the cure. "Can you fight terrorists by sealing them?” he asked the government.
