One killed in hand grenade attack on bakery in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – A man was killed and another injured in a hand grenade attack on a bakery in Sachal area, Karachi on Wednesday. Addressing a press conference, SSP East Sajid Sadozai said that no evidence about extortion was found during the investigation. “Apparently it is a terrorist activity. The deceased was a former employee of a law enforcement agency,” he said. The SSP said that unknown attackers fled after throwing a cracker. According to the preliminary report of the Bomb Disposal Squad, the incident was a hand grenade attack. A Russian-made RGD-I hand grenade was used in the attack. The Bomb Disposal Squad officials found the hand grenade lever, pin and pieces from the site.
