SEHWAN SHARIF (92 News) - One more crevice was created at the LS dyke to block increasing pressure on the Manchar Lake.

The local administration said that it had been decided to create more fissures at the LS dyke to give passage to the water heading towards the Manchar Lake. As a result, the floodwater has started heading towards the Indus River.

On the other hand, a crevice developed in the canal in Bhan Saeedabad. Locals are trying to fill up the gap on the self-help basis. Ring Road has been closed to save Bypass.

Meanwhile, floodwater entered different villages of Jacobabad due to two gaps in the canal near Shikarpur. The road link of Jacobabad and Garhi Khairu has been disconnected with other areas for the last 30 days due to accumulation of water on roads.

Four villages of Jacobabad have been inundated and water is heading towards Sheranpur. The road linking Jacobabad with Larkana, Rattodero, Qambar and Shahdadkot has drowned.

Several villages around Sehwan Sharif are still under water due to the floods. People are still dwelling in tents.
