ISLAMABAD (92 News) – State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said that only a few parties are raising hue and cry over the loadshedding. Talking to the media outside the National Assembly on Monday, he said that there was no forced shutdown across the country. The minister said that the authority to control loadshedding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is with the provincial government. “We have taken the power generation beyond to 16,000 megawatts first time.” He said that the KP feeders have 70 percent load. “About 400 feeders are bearing 80 percent deficit,” he added. Abid Sher Ali said that they would take over K-Electric if the need be. “No one talks about the agreements of K-Electric. The government steps should be lauded instead of politicizing the issue,” he said.
