Only federal, provincial govt representatives will form committee on Karachi: Murad Ali Shah

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that only federal and provincial government representatives will form the committee on Karachi and no party will be its part. Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, he said that no committee could be above the law. He said that the impression of appointing administrators by the committee is wrong. "A meeting in this regard will be held in a couple of days," he added. The chief minister said that it had been decided with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) that the Sindh government would clean 35 drains. He said that the recent rains in Karachi have revealed that problems exist in Karachi. "The Sindh government told the NDMA that it would work within the law and the constitution," he added. Murad Ali Shah said that they were ready with all to resolve the problems of the province.
