Only implementation of constitution and law is discussed in SC: CJP Umar Ata Bandial

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial has said that only implementation of the constitution and the law is discussed in the Supreme Court.

Addressing a ceremony on Saturday, he said that disputes emerge due to repeated interpretation of the law.

"We use our powers very careful. Courts raise questions on the basis of facts. Short-term decisions are made in the wake of an uncertain situation," he added.

CJP Umar Ata Bandial observed that the economy will strengthen with an increase in business activities.

"We will have to make business environment favourable and improve the tax system. The government can only give a subsidy and the Supreme Court can only look into the matter whether the subsidy is bigoted or unfair," he observed.

He said that the people did not know about the imposition of tax and custom duty. "The government should run the affairs in consultation with businessmen," he added.
