Operation Zarb-e-Azb is an example of war for Peace,says Army Chief

Lahore (92 News) -Army Chief General Raheel Sharif says Operation Zarb-e-Azb is an example of war for Peace, which is bringing stability and prosperity to Pakistan and the region. He was addressing the concluding ceremony of 1st International PACES Competition in Lahore on Sunday night. He said the operation has resulted in peace and stability not only in the country, but also in the region. The Army Chief stated that our success against terrorism owes immensely to the physical strength and mental robustness of our officers and soldiers. General Raheel Sharif said that Pakistan Army is trained to constantly uphold its soldierly attributes of Courage, Character and Competence to fulfill the trust reposed by the nation. The army chief said that Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System of Pakistan Army has proven its effectiveness during the recent fight against terrorism.  He said Pakistani troops confronted insurmountable challenges that called for extreme endurance and constant vigilance. The Army Chief said that PACES is designed to demand a high-level of combat efficiency, which is essential for the challenges of modern warfare. The Army Chief also congratulated all the participants for displaying a very high standard of sportsmanship, physical fitness, and determination to their best.
