ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The opposition on Tuesday will table a bill in the National Assembly seeking to bar a disqualified person from becoming the party chief. Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has directed all the party MNAs to ensure their presence to foil the approval of the bill. The opposition has already approved the bill from the Senate. It needs simple majority to get approved the bill in the National Assembly. The ruling party will try its best to foil the move. Sources said that Nawaz Sharif had contacted NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs on phone to ensure the presence of all MNAs. On the other hand, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has summoned a meeting of the PPP parliamentary party to devise a strategy to get approved the bill.
