Opposition accepts three ToRs presented by the govt

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The 12-member parliamentary committee, which will decide the Terms of Reference (ToRs) to probe into Panama leaks, held its meeting on Tuesday (today) The Opposition has accepted the three out of four Terms of Reference (ToRs) presented by the government and proposed the amendment to the fourth ToR. Members of the committee representing the government and the opposition sides deliberated upon devolving of consensus Terms of Reference to probe allegations leveled in the Panama leaks and other issue. Next meeting of the committee will be held at 1100 hours on Friday. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that this wasn’t the last meeting of the Parliamentary committee. Previously, the opposition had rejected the alternate terms of reference (ToRs) presented by the government to probe into the Panama Leaks. The opposition is adamant on starting the investigations into the Panama Leaks on its ToRs. The opposition leaders have started preparing for the reply to the parliamentary committee. The opposition has demanded that the investigations should start from the prime minister. PPP Senator Aitzaz Ahsan said that the opposition’s ToRs were practical and no one would get exemption. “The government is trying to save Mian Nawaz Sharif and his family,” he said. Shah Mahmood Qureshi had said that they would accept some points of the government and the government should accept their some points.
