Opposition demands immediate resignation of PM Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The opposition demanded immediate resignation of Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday. During the All Parties Conference, the opposition decided to form a new political alliance 'Pakistan Democratic Movement'. It also announced to launch a movement to end the government. In the first phase of the movement, joint rallies will be taken out in all four provinces in October. In the second phase, big public meetings will be held against the government in December. In January, a long march will be held towards Islamabad. The opposition also decided to tender their resignations at an appropriate time. Reading out a declaration after the All Parties Conference, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman said that new and transparent elections should be held. "All institutions should remain in their jurisdiction and abide by the oath," he added. The JUI-F chief said that a new law of accountability should be formed and it should be applied on all. "There will be no compromise on the constitution and the 18th Amendment." The joint declaration stated that efforts to impose the presidential system would be unacceptable. "The present government is also responsible for the Fall of Kashmir," it added. The declaration demanded that restrictions should be lifted and arrested journalists should be released.
