ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) remained inconclusive on Tuesday as its leaders were divided over the decisions of long march and resignations, revealed sources.

The PPP is adamant to utilize the option of resignations in the end. PDM chairman Maulana Fazalur Rehman failed in removing the reservations of the PPP in today's meeting. However, the PDM leaders agreed on holding more meetings to evolve consensus over the issues.

Sources said that the PPP leaders are of the view that Shehbaz Sharif should resign first and lead them and later the PPP will consider this option. "What will be our political future if the government could not be removed by tendering resignations?" the PPP leaders opine.

The sources revealed that the PPP is not ready to accept the proposals of Maulana Fazalur Rehman and Maryam Nawaz.

The sources said that Maryam Nawaz wants an end to the government at all cost and utilize the options of the long march and resignations. "However, the PPP wants an in-house change through the no-confidence move. The PPP has adopted a clear-cut stance with regard to the Sindh government," they added.

"The PPP leaders are of the view that if they play a game in the Centre, the federal government can impose the governor's rule in Sindh. What will be its solution then?" they revealed.
