Opposition hurling political threats to ECP under new guise: Firdous

ISLAMABAD (News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday regretted that the opposition parties have been hurling political threats to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) under a new guise. In a tweet, she said these were the same “elements” which had earlier made allegations against the election commission regarding the Form-45 and the result transmission system. “The people – companions of those who have accounts, business and treatment in foreign countries – will be rejected in foreign funding case against the PTI case,” Firdous mentioned. She said the opposition has become a living example of political hypocrisy. A day earlier, Firdous Ashiq Awan that United Nations (UN) has prepared its charter with the guidance from Holy Quran. Addressing a ceremony at Government College Women University Sialkot on Friday, the special assistant on has expressed the government’s commitment to transform Pakistan as per the ideals of founding fathers. Firdous Ashiq Awan said the participation of women in different fields is important to take the country towards stability and rid it of the rotten system. She said Pakistan is blessed with immense resources including human resource and it is time to tap this potential to build Pakistan as per the ideology of Allama-e-Iqbal. She also mentioned that Prime Minister Imran Khan wants to make independent judiciary as stronger system. “Chief Justice of Pakistan is hounorable and respectable in the judiciary system,” she added. Firdous Awan stressed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) believed on the rule of law and no dictatorship existed in the PTI. She also said the incumbent government is convinced that it cannot take forward the country without socio-economic and political empowerment of women. She said the women will be fully empowered in order to bring positive change in the society. The special assistant said that the present government will bring a uniform syllabus and pursue an effective education policy to fully exploit the potential of the youth. The special assistant announced 100 scholarships for the deserving students of the University. She said some scholarships will also be given to the girls engaged in sports activities.
