Opposition leader will be from PML-N in Senate, says Maryam

LAHORE (92 News) - PML-N Vice President said that before the Senate elections it was decided that PPP’s Yousaf Raza Gillani will stand for the Senate chairman seat, JUI-F’s Abdul Ghafoor Haider will contest for the deputy chairman and the opposition leader will be from PML-N.

Addressing a press conference along with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Maryam Nawaz maintained that JUI-F and PML-N have had successful rallies and protests in their constituencies and don’t need anyone else. “But it will be better if the opposition comes together and fights for the rights of the public.”

"We are striving to keep all parties united. But [in any case] Imran Khan's future is not linked with the PDM. His future and that of his fake government hinges on his own performance," the PML-N vice president said.
