Opposition leaders agree to bring no-confidence motion against PM firstly

LAHORE (92 News) – The opposition leaders have agreed to table the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan first of all.

The decision was made during a meeting attended by PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto, PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari, PDM chairman Fazalur Rehman and others.

According to sources, the opposition leaders have assigned the task of tabling the no-confidence motion to Asif Zardari who will settle the matters with the government allies.

During the meeting, Asif Zardari said Shehbaz Sharif was their candidate for the premiership. However, Shehbaz Sharif replied that consultation with PDM chairman Fazalur Rehman is mandatory in this regard.

Bilawal Bhutto proposed that the no-confidence motion should not be tabled before the long march. He said that the no-confidence motion would be brought after the concluding meeting of long march on March 8.

Opposition Leader in the Senate Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani, Maulana Asad Mahmood, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Akram Durrani, Rukhsana Bangash and Khawaja Saad Rafique were also present.
