Opposition opposed EVM without watching it, says Shibli Faraz

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz said that the opposition had opposed the electronic voting machine (EVM) without watching it.

Talking to the media on Thursday, he said that the voting machine will end rigging. "It is responsibility of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take the matter of the EVM ahead," he maintained.

The minister said that the government had tried its best to take the opposition along with it, but it tried to prolong the matter. "We assure the ECP that we can prepare the machine here," he added.

He said that the ECP should train the people through an awareness campaign.
