ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Opposition parties in the National Assembly held the government responsible for the recent deaths caused by devastating heatwave in Karachi and other parts of Sindh, calling for Friday to be observed as a day of mourning. As per reports, the decision was taken at meeting of opposition parties chaired by Leader of the Opposition Khurshid Shah on Tuesday. Khurshid Shah said that the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) government had failed to fulfill its promises to provide electricity to the people during the holy month of Ramazan. "The government is responsible for the deaths in Karachi due to the unavailability of electricity in the country’s financial capital," he said.
