Opposition parties reject 2020-21 budget

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The opposition parties on Sunday completely rejected the federal government's budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the opposition parties announced that they completely reject the federal government’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year and demanded the resignation of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the opposition leaders have unanimously rejected the budget and will take all measures possible to protest against it. He also said that the whole Pakistan has become ally due to the current budget. “We were expecting that the government would provide some sort of relief at a time of crisis, but to the contrary, the government has increased the burden on the public,” he added. On the occasion, PML-N senior leader Khawaja Asif said Imran Khan's rule is leading us to destruction. “Imran Khan has become a national burden. It is only with his removal that Pakistan can be saved,” he said. The PML-N leader said the opposition will formulate a joint strategy in this regard. “Government institutions are being used to target the opposition,” he added.
