LAHORE (92 News) – The opposition parties on Saturday rejected National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Amendment Ordinance 2019 promulgated by the PTI-led government through a presidential ordinance on Friday. Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) spokesman Marriyum Aurangzeb rejected the amendment ordinance of Prime Minister Imran Khan. “Imran Khan is bringing the ordinance to stop the NAB inquires from his government’s schemes. The selected government’s ordinance is conspiracy to give NRO to corrupt government and their friends,” she added. The PML-N spokesperson also said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif wrote to the Supreme Court despite false allegations and presented himself for accountability. “If the current government does not steal then why they are bringing ordinance to close the NAB inquires from their corrupt schemes.” She asked. “Those who have not stolen anything like Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif and the PML-N always present themselves for self-accountability,” she added. “The liars, fake, thieves and corrupt same like you Imran Sahib are using the NRO and national institutions to bar the way of accountability,” Marriyum Aurangzeb maintained. He said that Imran Khan has dual process for corruption, the false cases and jails for the opposition but ‘NRO Plus’ for himself and his friends. “Imran is bringing ordinance to hold NAB inquiry into Peshawar Metro, Malm Jabba and helicopter cases,” she added. Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the PTI cannot hide the Peshawar Metro worth of one hundred 25 billion rupees from NRO Plus. “Hiding your corruption through the NAB ordinance is indisputable proof of the NAB-Niazi nexus,” she said. The PML-N spokesperson said that the Election Commission was pressurized in the foreign funding case and the new NAB ordinance for hiding government’s corruption and stolen money. She also said that the incumbent government is demanding 40-years accountability from others but providing NRO to Baji Aleema, Faisal Vawda and Jahangir Tareen. Meanwhile, Senator Sherry Rehman tweeted that the ordinance was passed by crossing the parliamentary system; the session of National Assembly is not being convened as well as the Senate meeting was also not called for 116 days. Speaking to the journalists in Rawalpindi, PPP leader Nafeesa Shah said that the problems are prevailing all over the country and Benazir Bhutto sacrificed her life for the sake of country. The PPP leader also maintained that the remains of Ziaul Haq and Pervez Musharraf are blocking the path of the PPP workers, they were not allowed rally in Liaquat Bagh. Nafeesa Shah further said that the PPP is a public party, the opposition and the hypocrites are intimidated. “The purpose of rally in Rawalpindi was to conduct rally on the remembrance of democratic martyred,” she added.
