Opposition parties should give up politics of long-march, says Ghulam Sarwar Khan

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Ghulam Sarwar Khan has said that the opposition parties should give up politics of confrontation, sit-ins and long-march.

Talking to newsmen in Texila, he has underlined the need for electoral reforms and subsequent introduction of Electronic Voting Machines to ensure credibility of polls and strengthen the nascent democracy in the country.

Ghulam Sarwar Khan stressed that all political parties should be on one page for electoral reforms as it would greatly help flourish democracy in the country. He advised the opposition parties to shun politics of confrontation, sit-ins and long-march as these things would create instability in the country and please the state enemies.

The minister said that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, is taking due care of needy and downtrodden segments of the society. “Financial assistance amounting to 262 billion rupees is being extended under the Ehsass Kafalat Programme besides giving targeted subsidy of 130 billion rupees.”
