Opposition stages protest against increase in POL products in Senate
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The opposition staged protest against the increase in the prices of the POL products in the Senate on Thursday.
The opposition members also staged a walk out. Opposition Leader in the Senate Shahzad Waseem said that the government was in habit of breaking in on the pockets of the masses at night. He demanded that the ministers should attend the session, saying where is the representative of the IMF.
JI Senator Mushtaq Khan said that the government is following the path of Hallaku Khan. "The increase in the petroleum prices is injustice with the masses."
On the protest of the opposition, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail attended the Senate session.
State Minister for Finance Ayesha Ghaus Pasha said that they are taking stringent steeps to save the economy.
About Sheikh Rasheed's comments about the foreign conspiracy, Senator Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani said that why the then government did not held investigations if he knew about it since July.
