KARACHI (92 News) – The opposition on Saturday staged a protest demonstration against the Sindh Local Government Act and the delimitations.

Workers belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) gathered at Fawara Chowk.

Addressing the protesters, MQM leader Khawaja Izhar said that the cruel era of the PPP was about to end.

Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui threatened to besiege the assembly if the bill was not withdrawn. "The CM House is also not far from here," he added.

PTI leader Khurram Sher Zaman said that the legs of PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari would be shivering on uniting the opposition parties.

Nusrat Sehr said that the black law was approved by running the assembly like dictators.

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi said that the government can neither remove garbage. "It can neither run transport nor education and health," he added. "The time of Asif Zardari has ended as we are coming now," he added.

He announced a march from Karachi and Ghotki on February 27.
