Opposition stages walkout of NA over FATA reforms bill

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The opposition parties lawmakers have on Tuesday staged a walkout from National Assembly against the government’s move to drop the bill pertaining to FATA reforms bill from the agenda of the house. The National Assembly session was held with Spekaer Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in the chair. Addressing the Lower House of the Parliament, Leader of Opposition Syed Khurshid Shah said that the opposition will continue its protest unless the FATA reforms bill is presented before the house for approval. He said that the issue of FATA is very serious. The opposition leader hoped the bill would be included in tomorrow’s session. Shah said the government has not taken the opposition in the loop over withdrawal of the bill from the session’s agenda. Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad said the government desires to present FATA reforms bill in the parliament after developing consensus among all the parties. He said matters pertaining to FATA reforms bill and constitutional amendment for delimitation of constituencies will be sorted out through dialogue with the parties. He said it has always been effort of the government to take guidance from the parliament on important matters.
