Opposition using each tactic to win Senate election: PM Imran Khan
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the opposition is using each tactic to win the Senate election.
He was talking to Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and other lawmakers.
He said the opposition will use money and offer incentive, but Hafeez Sheikh will win the Islamabad battle. "It is a good sign that the issue of Senate seats has been resolved amicably in Punjab," he added.
The prime minister said that he was a supporter of open voting to stop use of money in the Senate election. "Letters are being written and contacts being made our members. but we are united," he added.
He said that a corrupt group is sitting in Islamabad and people know well about their corruption stories.
Meanwhile, a delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) called on Prime Minister Imran Khan. Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui led the delegation. They discussed the Senate election.
MNA (NA-55) Tahir Sadiq, MNA (NA-158) Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, Haji Imtiaz Ahmed, Syed Faizul Hassan and Chaudhary Shaukat Ali Bhatti also met the prime minister separately. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Special Assistant Malik Muhammad Amir Dogar were also present.
