Opposition walks out of session during Murad Saeed’s speech

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The disgruntled opposition members walked out of the National Assembly (NA) in protest during the speech of Federal Minister for Communication Murad Saeed. After which, the NA speaker tasked Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to conciliate with the opposition members. “When I end my speech, opposition will return by itself,” said Murad Saeed on the opposition members, who were earlier chanting slogans against the budget. Murad Saeed has said Pakistan will move forward on the path of development under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He rejected the remarks made by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari against the coronavirus strategy of the government. He said the European countries are now also adopting smart lockdown policy. The minister said the present government gave the historic Ehsaas Program and enhanced its allocations to over two hundred billion rupees. He said our Sehat Insaf card scheme is providing free of cost medical treatment to the people. Earlier, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan should better quarantine himself instead of taking notices. While addressing National Assembly (NA) during the budget debate session, Bilawal Bhutto demanded the resignation of PM Imran Khan, saying that the premier should apologise for destroying the economy. He maintained said that the premier has two options; either he works alongside all the political parties and strive for the betterment of the country, or he resigns and goes home. Criticizing the government, the PPP chairman requested the prime minister to stop taking notice. “Whenever the prime minister takes notice of anything, its price gets increased. What are the consequences of taking notices of flour, medicines, petrol by the prime minister,” he asked. Bilawal further asked, “How is it possible that the one holding fake degree can declare pilots fake?” He claimed that due to the ruling party, the oil companies benefited from the hike in petroleum prices. “The ruling party has usurped the rights of the people,” he added. “What sort of relief is putting people out of jobs?” he said before the House, adding that not making any addition to salaries and pensions is also an ‘injustice’.
