Opposition walks out when talked about robbers: Fawad Ch

JEHLUM (92 News) – Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday has said that the opposition walks out when the government talks about the corruption and robbers. Addressing a workers convention at Fateh Pur in Jhelum on Sunday, the information minister stressed that the government cannot ask about the accountability and corruption when the talk started to arrests the robbers in the house, the opposition walks out from the session. “If the parliament run in this way, the country cannot be run,” he said. He added that remains silent over thieves and corruption cannot function. Taking a jibe at former railways minister, Fawad taunted that when Saad Rafique entered politics he has no even a bike and today all the politicians, same like Saad, are owners of 10 Marla luxury vehicles. Fawad Ch termed that Khawaja Saad Rafique used to ride a bicycle before he entered politics. “When we question their means of income, the former government’s leaders walk out of the parliament saying democracy is under threat”. Lashing out the previous government, the minister accused that the PML-N used all resources on Lahore, the provincial capital. “When we seek accountability from them [opposition], they accuse us of hindering proceedings of the parliament. Pakistan wouldn’t function accordingly if continues to run the House in similar way,” he said. He assured that the government would not make compromise on corruption. He said children of the ruling elite get their education in the United Kingdom but there are no basic facilities for the poor people in this country. Fawad Chaudhry said across the board accountability is the need of the hour and it will be ensured that no one is above the law. He said that the rulers should be held accountable for their lavish lifestyles and wastage of billions of rupees of taxpayers.
