KARACHI (92 News) – Federal Minister for Information Shibli Faraz said that the opposition wants a relief in the corruption cases by pressurizing government.

Talking to the media at the Mazar-e-Quaid on Wednesday, he said the matter had reached to the extent that the institution had been put at stake.

He said that the Sindh government was making the islands issue political. "They (the opposition) neither do work nor allow anyone to do work," he added.

The minister said that the government's objective is to bring investment and give employment to the people. "We admit that there is price-hike in the country, but the loans received during the PML-N tenure are responsible for it," he added.

He said that the federal government with the allies was preparing a package for the flood-hit rural areas of Sindh. "Our economy suffered a setback during the coronavirus pandemic. Under these conditions, the opposition will not be well-wisher of the country if it starts confrontation," he added.

Shibli Faraz claimed that the government had brought stability to the economy. "We are one nation. We should keep the alliance intact," he said.

He said that the Karachiites had been given the mandate to the PTI and now the local leadership is playing its role.
