LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered the authorities concerned to construct the Orange Line Metro 200 feet away from historical buildings.

The bench comprising of Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh and Justice Shahid Karim stopped work around 11 historical buildings being affected by the project.

Azhar Siddique, in a petition, feared that the project was likely to affect the historical buildings and the UN had expressed reservations in this regard.

He said that 26 people had so far died due to the project.
