Our numbers are complete even without allies: opposition committee report
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The no-confidence motion should be presented next month as the numbers of the opposition are complete even without government allies.
It was proposed in a report presented by the opposition committee to PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari, PDM chairman Maulana Fazalur Rehman and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif.
The committee has expressed its satisfaction over the preparations of the opposition parties. However, the committee could not evolve consensus with regard to immediate conduct of the elections. The decision in this regard has been left to the main leaders.
The committee also reviewed all legal and constitutional aspects of the no-confidence motion. It also discussed the number of estranged PTI members in contact with the PML-N, the PPP and the JUI.
The committee is comprised of PML-N's Khawaja Saad Rafique, Rana Sanaullah, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, PPP's Yousaf Raza Gilani, Raja Pervaiz Ahsraf, Naveed Qamar, Kamran Murtaza, Maulana Asad Mahmood and Akram Durrani.
