Over 5,000 employees sacked from LB departments across Sindh

KARACHI (92 News) – Over 5,000 employees have been sacked from local bodies departments across Sindh. The sacked employees were working on contract and daily wages in 29 districts, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana and Mirpur Khas. After sacking the employees, the LB departments have sent the list, certificate and report to the Local Bodies secretary. Sources said that the employees have been sacked to steer the local bodies departments from deficit. They added that the money saved from the sacked employees will be spent on water supply, cleanliness and fire brigade.
