Over 770 dengue patients hospitalized in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI/KARACHI (92 News) – Over 770 dengue patients were hospitalized in different hospitals of the city during the last few days. Hospitals are unable to accommodate increasing number of dengue patients. On the other hand, over 200 people were admitted to different hospitals in Karachi in a month. Of the total patients, 130 Chinese have been diagnosed with dengue. The Chinese were working on the power plant. A sharp increase has been witnessed in the number of dengue patients after incessant rains in the city. On the orders of the Sindh government, a camp has been established at the power plant to treat the dengue patients. A spokesman for the Sindh Dengue Control Program said that over 1,400 people were diagnosed with dengue this year. Six people have so far died of dengue in Karachi this year.
