Hospital sources said the attendants of a female patient who was admitted to the ICU, turned violent after her death. They damaged things in the ICU.

The hospital’s doctors and staff fled the premises and the ICU remained suspended for medical treatment for about two hours.

The absence of paramedical staff led to the death of Noor who was admitted to the ICU, sources added.

The wife of Noor Hassan, speaking to reporters said the doctors extended full treatment to her husband, however the violent protest by the woman patient in the ICU led to Noor's death.

She blamed the relatives of the deceased for Noor's death.

According to the hospital's spokesman, the administration is viewing CCTV footage to determine the exact happening in the ICU.

Things would get clearer after some time, the spokesman added.

Meanwhile, a team of Punjab Health Commission reached the hospital for inquiry.

The case of Noor Hassan, who had gained his weight up to 330 kilogram, came to limelight after he requested the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) to help him reduced his weight through surgery as he was unable to travel by road.

He was then airlifted from Sadiqabad to Lahore for surgery and was successfully operated upon.
