ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A Pakistan Air Force (PIA) F-16 jet crashed near Shakarparian in Islamabad on Wednesday morning. It is pertinent to mention here that the plane crashed near the chandtara jungle located in the area. PAF jet shakarparian islamabad According to the PAF spokesperson, the plane was carrying out routine exercises for the March 23 parade when it crashed. The PAF spokesperson further said that a board of inquiry has been ordered by Air Headquarters to determine the cause of accident.Police and rescue officials have cordoned off the crash site. Rescue efforts to contain the huge ball of fire at the site are underway. Unfortunately, Pakistan’s pride Wing Commander Nauman Akram couldn’t survive the crash and embraced martyrdom.   The martyred pilot even had the Sher Afghan Trophy 2019 to his name. Undoubtedly, it is a huge loss for the PAF as well as for the nation but Nauman Akram will definitely live in our hearts forever. A member of the National Assembly (NA) has started ‘Fatiha’ for the martyred commander. Apparently, Nauman Akram was among teh best pilots of PAF who even flew Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa in an F-16, recently.
