RISALPUR (92 News) – The 141st passing out parade of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was held at Asghar Khan Academy, Risalpur on Thursday. Commander of Turkish Air Force General Hasan Kucukakyuz was guest of honour. Speaking on the occasion, General Hasan said that Turkey will always stand by Pakistan through thick and thin. “Pakistan and Turkey enjoy deep rooted relations spanning over decades.” Hailing the professionalism of Pakistan Air Force, the Turkish commander said that recently the force successfully thwarted aggression from the eastern border. He said that the PAF's pursuit to enhance operational capabilities and achieve heights of glory has helped it establish its status as one of the modern air forces of the world. The Turkish Air Force commander said that the great sacrifices of Pakistani nation and the professionalism displayed by its forces in eradicating terrorism and extremism are regarded very highly by the Turkish nation. Earlier, the Commander of Turkish Air Force gave away medals, trophies and the coveted sword of honour to the outstanding cadets. The Joint Chief of Staff trophy was given to Talha Iftikhar, while Hasnain Shahzad got the Admin and Special Duty Course trophy. Faheem Abbas received the Best Performance Navigation Course (7th Course) trophy. The Chief of the Air Staff trophy was awarded to Hamas Bin Shahab. Jalal Zafar was given the Chief of the Air Staff Best Pilot trophy. Hamas Bin Shahab got the honorary sword in Aeronautical Engineering. Meanwhile, the honorary sword was given to Wing Academy Under Officer Faisal Shafqat.
