April 6, 2020
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The authorities reopened the Pak-Afghan border for three days at Torkham and Chaman on Monday. The borders are being opened for the Afghan citizens from April 6 to 9. However, no one will be allowed to enter Pakistan from Afghanistan. At the special request of the Afghanistan government and based on humanitarian considerations on April 4, Pakistan had decided to allow the exit of Afghan nationals in Pakistan who are wishing to go back to their country. The Foreign Office spokesman said that the Torkham and Chaman land border crossings will be opened for a specific period from April 6 to April 9, 2020 to facilitate the Afghan nationals. As a neighbour and in view of fraternal bilateral relations, Pakistan remains in abiding solidarity with the people of Afghanistan, particularly at this time of global pandemic.
