Pak Army continues relief & rescue efforts in flood-hit areas of Karachi

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – The Pak Army continued the relief and rescue efforts to help flood victims in various parts of Karachi. According to a press release issued by the ISPR, Pak Army engineers machinery, including heavy plant effort, is in progress to stop water flow from Malir Nadi by refilling the breached area. Water in Malir Nadi has reduced and backflow from Quaidabad to Malir Nadi has started. Army engineers boats are employed in various areas to shift stranded people to safer places. Cooked meal is being provided to affected population struck due to heavy rains . More than 200 families are marooned on their rooftops due to heavy flooding in Malir Nadi, Kohi Goth and Dur Muhammad Goth. Owing to heavy water current at the moment, Army helicopters will be flown to rescue these families after weather clearance.
