Pak-China military ties important pillar of bilateral relations: General Zhang

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa met with Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission General Zhang Youxia during his three-day visit to China. In his meeting, they discussed boosting bilateral defence cooperation with Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC). “The generals also discussed areas of further bilateral military cooperation in the field of counter terrorism, arms & equipment technology, and training, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement. Talking to Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Beijing, he said that China looks forward to further expanding this cooperation. He said development of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is aimed at bringing more benefits and prosperity to the people of both the countries. The Central Military Commission China vice chairman termed that Pak-China military cooperation as an important pillar of bilateral relations and said the two militaries should further strengthen this cooperation to safeguard common security challenges. Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa thanked Vice Chairman for the Chinese support and cooperation.
