ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Federal Minister for Information Pervez Rashid has said that Pakistan will complete the Pak-Iran gas pipeline project on fast track basis to meet its energy requirements. Meanwhile, Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has informed that Pakistan has started construction work on 700 kilometer pipeline to import liquified natural gas from China. Speaking on Monday, the minister said the project will jointly be funded by Pakistan and China. "Gwadar port will be the central hub for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, which will allow Western China to gain access to warm waters," he said in an interview. "Chinese funds will benefit Pakistan to complete its Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline project."
