Pak Navy’s special force to guard maritime route of CPEC

GWADAR (92 News) – Pakistan Navy's special task force TF-88 for maritime security of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has been inaugurated. A ceremony in this connection was held at Gwadar on Tuesday. Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Zubair Mahmood Hayat attended the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, CJCSC General Hayat expressed his satisfaction that the task force will ensure safe operationalization of CPEC. He lauded the role of Pakistan Navy to secure the maritime environment for the flagship project of CPEC. The CJCSC said that CPEC and Gwadar Port will usher in new arenas of prosperity in the entire region. He said it will give major boost to the economy. He hoped that Pakistan Navy will continue with its endeavors to ensure maritime security of the project.
