Pak-US relationship ‘quite complicated’: White House spokesman

WASHINGTON (92 News) – White House spokesman Josh Earnest has on Friday said that they cannot comment on the communiqué and tone regarding the telephonic conversation of US President-elect Donald Trump and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The White House spokesman said that the relationship between Pakistan and US is ‘quite complicated’ which got more complicated after US carried out a raid into Pakistan that killed al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden. Commenting on the telephonic conversation between US President-elect Donald Trump and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he said that they cannot comment in this regard, adding that the Trump’s team would be contacted for clarification in this regard. Josh Earnest said that every US President has always been briefed regarding how to interact with the world leaders, adding that all presidents consult with the State Department officials in this regard. He said that Donald Trump would also do so after taking charge. Responding to question, the spokesman said that President Obama had once expressed his wish to visit Pakistan, however, he could not visit there due to some reasons.
