Pakistan Army, Rangers & MQM set up relief camps for heatwave affectees in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) - Pakistan Army, Sindh Rangers and Muttahida Qaumi Movement formed on Tuesday heatstroke centers for the people affected from worst heatwave in Karachi. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan Army set up the heatstroke centers following over 520 casualties in Karachi due to heatstroke  which will provide free medical assistance to affected masses. "The location of these centers is Sindh Government Hospital New Karachi, Singer Chowrangi Korangi and Aisha Bawani Academy Shahrah e Faisal," the statement said. On the other hand, paramilitary force Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) have formed ten heatstroke centers at its wing headquarters across the city, where a complete arrangement of doctors, paramedics and medicines is in place for providing relief to citizens suffering from extremely hot weather. Also, Chief of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain directed party’s Coordination Committee and Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF) to immediately set up “heatstroke centers” for the victims of sunstroke. "The KKF and Medical Aid Committee should support all the operations on the field and provide not only medical assistance but also mineral water and ORS for intense remedy to the heat victims," he said while ordering his workers to come to the relief of the people of Karachi.
