Pakistan army troops assisting civil administration to curb COVID-19
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Pakistan army troops are assisting civil administration in containment efforts of coronavirus (COVID-19) across the country.
According to the press release of Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR), the troops are busy in relief efforts and distribution of more than 3,50,000 army assistance packages (containing basic food items).
The ISPR stated that the troops are distributing assistance packages purchased through contributions of the army’s announced salary donation for COVID-19 affected people in various areas of Pakistan to daily wagers, handicapped, labourers, widows and needy people including far flung areas.
The army troops distributed relief packets in Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) including Muzaffarabad,Kel, Leepa Valley, Neelum Valley, Jhelum Valley, Bagh, Rawalakot, Bhimber, Kotli and Mirpur.
They also delivered ration packages in the area of Gilgit-Baltistan including the Gilgat, Skardu, Jaglot, Astore, Hunza- Nagar, Diamir, Gakhuch and Chilas.
These relief packets are also distributed in Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
