LAHORE (92 News) – DG ISPR Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar has said that Pakistan cannot guarantee peace in Afghanistan as Afghan stakeholders will have to decide about peace.

Expressing his views 92 News special transmission on Saturday, he said that Pakistan is minutely looking at the changing situation in the region and is ready for any situation.

The DG ISPR feared that terrorist groups might reactivate in Afghanistan. "India is nervous about the new emerging situation in Afghanistan. The Indian RAW and NDS are supporting terrorist groups present in Afghanistan. The recent terrorist incidents are related to the situation arising on the other side. Owing to the operations launched by Pakistan, there is no structure of organized terrorism," he maintained.

Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar said that Pakistan had fought a long battle against terrorism and gained invaluable successes. "We will not allow anyone to waste our sacrifices," he declared.

The modern biometric system has been installed at the border. People will cross the border through the notified crossing points. All remaining points have been sealed," he added.

The DG ISPR said that Pakistan had developed a comprehensive system. "Pakistan will have bad impact of the instability and anarchy in Afghanistan. Pakistan will be the biggest beneficiary of a peaceful Afghanistan," he declared.
