Eidul Azha being celebrated with religious fervor across country

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Eidul Azha is being celebrated with traditional and religious fervour across Pakistan. Special prayers were offered at Eid congregations for peace and prosperity in the country and for liberation of Palestine and Occupied Kashmir. Congregations were held at all major mosques as well as at many outdoor sites. Soon after the prayers started the slaughter of sacrificial animals in commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim's (peace be upon him) readiness to sacrifice his son. Police and private guards were deployed in major cities to secure the congregations. In Islamabad, the main Eid congregation was at Faisal Mosque. Several federal ministers, parliamentarians and diplomats said their prayers at the congregation. In Lahore, the largest congregation was held at the Badshahi Masjid. Other prominent congregations were held at the Data Darbar Mosque, at Nasser Bagh, at Shalimar Bagh, at Minar-i-Pakistan grounds, at the Model Town Park, at Jamia Naeemia, at Jamia Ashrafia, at Idara Minhajul Hussain, at Al-Muntazir and at Mansoorah.
