KARACHI (92 News) - Three more people, who arrived at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport from abroad yesterday, were detected to be infected with the monkeypox (mpox) virus.
According to the airport sources, the mpox virus was detected in a woman who arrived at the Karachi airport from Jeddah and in a teenager, 18, who reached Pakistan from Dubai.
Moreover, a 44-year-old man was also detected to be infected with the mpox virus. He reached the Karachi airport from Saudi Arabia.
The airport authorities immediately shifted the infected passengers to the Infection Diseases Centre Hospital. They will be kept in the isolation ward of the hospital till the final report about their health is received.
