Pakistan establishes regular diplomatic relations with Republic of Palau

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan has established regular diplomatic relations with Republic of Palau on Tuesday.

A document for establishing diplomatic relations was signed at the ceremony.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations Munir Akram represented Pakistan and the Republic of Palau was represented by Ambassador Allana Saeed at the signing ceremony.

Both permanent delegates welcomed the historic achievement.

Diplomatic relations will improve bilateral political, trade, economic, cultural, educational ties and open new avenues of cooperation.

Palau is located in the Pacific Ocean, consists of about 340 coral and volcanic islands.

Pakistan and Palau are both members of the Asia-Pacific Group, which became an independent state on October 1, 1994.
