ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Pakistan has expressed a grave concern over presence of modern weapons in Afghanistan, saying that terrorists are carrying out attacks on Pakistan from across Afghanistan.

Addressing the weekly press briefing on Friday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that the security situation was grave due to closure of the Pak-Afghan border.

She said that Pakistan had informed Afghanistan about its reservations on the recent incident on the Pak-Afghan border and the situation in Chitral.

The Foreign Office spokesperson said that Pakistan hopes the interim Afghan government will fulfill its obligations and deny the use of its soil by the terrorists for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistan.

She reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to eradicate the menace of terrorism. "We have invited our partners, especially in the Gulf, to come and invest in Pakistan. We are in touch with them in this regard," she concluded.
