Pakistan favors a stable Afghanistan, says PM Nawaz Sharif

LONDON (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Sunday said that Pakistan favors a stable Afghanistan and the peace would only be restored through dialogues.

Talking to media in London on Sunday, Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan and Afghanistan have an agreement not to allow their soils for terrorist activities, adding that Pakistan is fully abiding by this understanding. However, some elements are active in Afghanistan, who carries out terrorist attacks in Pakistan.

He said that Pakistan is working on the information provided by India in the backdrop of Pathankot incident, and the findings will be made public. “Pakistan’s investigation team will visit Pathankot,” he added.

The prime minister said that one man cannot resolve all issues and the government and army is working together with mutual consultation.

Commenting on Pakistan's reconciliatory efforts to mitigate tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran, Nawaz Sharif said that we want to resolve differences between both the brotherly countries peacefully.
